Jam Bands have had the same steady popularity since the Grateful Dead started the psychedelic rock movement in the 1970s. In recent years, bands identified as “Jam Bands” have become more groovy and innovative than ever before. While this is not a genre that is going to be topping the charts or becoming mainstream, it has a dedicated fan base that will always love the jam. This site is for all the jam lovers out there looking for the hottest new jam bands and the best new performances of 2020. We’re not all millionaires, and we can’t all afford to pay the obscene amount of money it costs to see Phish at MSG. Lucky for us, we have Jam Bands that can melt your face just the same for only $20. Jam Babooshka gives you all the information you need to keep your concerts fun and cheap while helping you pick up the newest Jam Bands before they blow up. Jam Babooshka picks out the best, crispiest jams from new artists every month. It also allows you to hear the hottest on stage collaborations of the season, so that you’ll never miss out on a jam session for the ages.
Helping You Find That Special Jam.
Helping you find that special jam. The type of jam that’s so good, so sweet, that you would eat it off a rock. My current ‘Show to See’ is Goose’s 1 hour set from The Paradise Music Festival in 2019.

Waiting on Mongo
Funk and Jam band that does a lot of covers but has their fair share of original Jams. This New Jersey native band is best known for their appearances at Jersey Shore bars throughout the summer. But, on February 28, they’re headlining their own show at the Bowery Electric in Manhattan. If you’re looking for a cheap, last minute show next week, this is one is definitely worth your time and should only be $5-$10.

Goose
The Goose has been loose for about a year now. Following a successful summer last year with appearances at festivals across the country, Goose has acquired an extremely dedicated cult following. These guys have been touring relentlessly and are currently supporting Pigeons Playing Ping Pong in the Colorado portion of their national tour.
Goose is supporting Pigeons Playing Ping Pong in Port Chester, NY on April 24th at the Capitol Theatre. Then, they are headlining at The Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ on May 2nd. The whole Jam Band world is currently gaga for Goose so DO NOT miss out.

WEEP NO LONGER
Ok, maybe weep a little more. BUT THEN check out “Live From Out There.” A 6-week subscription based, virtual music festival that is combining archived videos with livestream living room concerts to bring fans as close to live music as possible during this time of social distancing due to Covid-19. The proceeds go to the “Sweet Relief Musicians Fund” which is working to make sure any performers struggling through this time without concerts are still receiving some sort of paycheck.
The virtual festival is the first of many, and has already grossed over $150,000 in the first two weekends according to The Rolling Stone, despite not having a single “superstar.”
This is the closest thing to a live concert experience available, and it’ll act like a nicotine patch for our addiction to live concerts until this is all behind us.
